Therapy can help! I’m here for you, connect with me and send me a message.

Sex Therapy can help with all of this, and so much more.

Sex therapy can support you in finding your right version of sexuality - not what we are told we should be feeling, but what feels best for you, whatever that may be.

Rather than focusing on frequency or type of sex, sex therapy focuses on what you actually want.

Working with a certified sex therapist creates a supportive, non-judgmental space to better understand you and your unique lived experiences.

Sex therapy provides an evidence-based framework to explore the type of relationship you would like with your body, and pathways to access those feelings.

A supportive and confidential space

just for you

A SPECIFIC FOCUS ON PLEASURE.

Prioritizing pleasure is a radical part of healing and living. Many of us are conditioned to associate erotic and somatic pleasure with shame and fear. In our work together, we will reconnect with your ideas of pleasure, and ground ourselves in the knowledge that our own unique feelings and experiences of pleasure are normal and good.

you are not alone! so many people feel the very same way.

Many of our very normal human experiences around sexuality, pleasure, and identity remain taboo and connected to societal pressures, creating a lot of silence around these topics. That silence can make it feel like we are alone in these worries, but that is not the case. These experiences are so common.

Our work together

In our work together, we will collaborate to identify your goals, and we will explore the pathway towards those goals while always working together, checking in regularly about how well our sex and intimacy therapy interventions are working for you. We may use trusted tools like Sensate Focus and mindfulness. You are the expert on your experience, and our work will reflect that. I am lucky to have been doing this work for over a decade, and I am deeply grateful that time and again I experience people’s healing, freedom and joy, and achievement of their goals.

How do i know that it’s the right time to seek support?

  • So many of us carry thoughts and feelings about our sexuality silently for such a long time. It can be such a huge burden to bear this alone. It can be an enormous relief to share with another person in a safe and confidential space. I am a non-judgmental, supportive provider, here with the sole purpose of helping you with your goals. It’s normal to experience some anxiety before a first session, and we can make time to process any worries that are coming up for you so you feel comfortable and grounded. You might be surprised by how quickly we are able to comfortably get into the work.

  • It’s so important to find a therapist who is affirming and educated when it comes to these pieces of our identity and lives. I am lucky to have been trained and supervised as a sex therapist through years in a post-masters sexologist program and have been certified by AASECT as a sex therapist. I believe proper training, experience, and supervision are critical in any type of therapeutic setting. I love working with these parts of life and identity and have been doing so for many years, and am excited to continue to work with all types of relationship constellations.

  • The term sex addiction may feel like it resonates with you because things are feeling out of control. You might find yourself searching for a CSAT therapist, or looking at programs. There are many ways to work with out-of-control sexual behavior, and sex therapy provides a kind, curious foundation to understanding why and how certain behaviors have become much harder to stop engaging with. Instead of this conversation feeling scary, sex therapy provides a way for this conversation to feel more empowered and put you in charge of your thoughts, feelings, and choices.

  • There are certainly many pathways to support and healing. Sex therapy is one of the most direct, and can be one of the most effective ways to begin addressing some of what isn’t feeling right for you. I encourage people to prioritize their well-being so they can then be free to use the rest of their time doing what feels important to them. If we aren’t feeling well, and are preoccupied by something happening with our sexuality, then we don’t have the time and mental space to do what we want. Often, going to therapy earlier can save time, emotions, and energy.
